Latest: IIT Bombay released UCEED 2020 cutoff on March 23, 2020.

IIT Bombay announced to submit the pending documents as mention on the admit card of UCEED 2020. Aspirants had to mail the scanned image of the required documents along with the roll number to uceed.iitb.ac.in by February 5 before 5 pm.The registration for counselling will take place from June 8-30. IIT Bombay conducted Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design commonly known as UCEED 2020 in online mode on January 18. According to the exam analysis of UCEED 2020, the entrance test was moderately difficult and it was slightly difficult to manage the time. The draft answer key was released on January 21 and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay released UCEED 2020 mock test on January 14. Seat allotment result for UCEED will be declared for round 1 on July 4, for round 2 on July 11 and for third round it will be released on July 15. The authorities released the admit card on December 27, 2019. Earlier, the authorities had decided to release the admit card on January 1, 2020. In case of a discrepancy in the admit card, candidates could get it rectified by January 5. Candidates could fill the application form of UCEED 2020 by paying the late fee till November 20 as the date was extended from November 16. The authorities released the application form of UCEED 2020 on October 9, 2019. The last date to fill the application form was extended from November 13 to 15, 2019 . What's new in UCEED 2020?

Change in UCEED exam pattern - Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay changed the exam pattern of UCEED 2020. Initially, there was only one part whereas the question paper has been divided into two parts this year - part A and B. The part A has three sections - Numerical Answer Type (NAT), Multiple Select Questions (MSQ) and Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ). Earlier, the number of questions asked in NAT, MSQ and MCQ was 20, 20 and 45, respectively. The total number of questions that will be asked in each section has been decreased in 2020. Candidates will have to answer 18 questions in NAT, 18 in MSQ and 32 in MCQ. Also, the authorities have changed the marking scheme. In 2019, three marks were awarded for responding correctly in NAT and MSQ while four marks in MCQ. Compared to the last year, test-takers will be given four marks in NAT and MSQ while 3 marks in MCQ. Last year, -1.32 marks were deducted in MCQ while -0.71 marks will be deducted in 2020.

The result of UCEED 2020 announced by IIT, Bombay on March 13 at 00:00 hours. In order to check UCEED result 2020, candidates have to use their login credentials. After entering UCEED 2020 ID and password, the result will be displayed on the screen. UCEED 2020 result will also contain the scorecard. Only those candidates who have qualified the entrance exam, they will be eligible to check the UCEED result.

UCEED Cutoff 2020

The minimum marks which the candidates need to score to be eligible to apply for admission in B.Des course is referred to UCEED 2020 cutoff. Candidates must remember that the cutoff of UCEED 2020 will vary for different categories. Some of the important parameters which are taken into account while determining the UCEED cutoff 2020 includes the total number of candidates who appear for the entrance test, the difficulty level of the entrance exam, The total number of seats available.

UCEED Counselling and Seat Allotment 2020

Candidates who qualify UCEED 2020, they will have to register for UCEED 2020 counselling. The registration process for UCEED counselling will take place from June 8 to 30 in online mode. The seat allotment for UCEED will be done on July 4, 2020. The fee for the application form of UCEED counselling and seat allotment is Rs 1,000.

UCEED Seat Allotment 2020

Candidates will be allotted seat on the basis of the rank, category and choice of the institute. Depending on the total number of seats that are left vacant, there will be four rounds of UCEED seat allotment 2020. Candidates can either freeze or float the option at the time of UCEED 2020 seat allotment. In order to confirm the seat, candidates will have to pay fees of Rs 60,000 in online mode.

UCEED Answer Key 2020

Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay released the Final answer key for Part a on February 4. The draft answer key of UCEED 2020 was released on January 21 and candidates could challenge it till January 27 till 5:00 p.m. The authorities also released the UCEED 2020 response sheet which the candidates could download by entering the necessary login details. With the help of UCEED answer key 2020, candidates will get to know how many questions they have answered correctly and how many marks they are likely to score. While calculating the marks, candidates must ensure that they follow the same marking scheme as mentioned in the question paper.

UCEED Exam Analysis 2020

As per the exam analysis of UCEED 2020, the exam was moderately difficult. The total number of questions that were asked were as per the new exam pattern that was prescribed by IIT Bombay. UCEED Exam Pattern 2020

Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, prescribes the exam pattern of UCEED 2020 which comprises the marking scheme, duration of the exam, mode in which the exam will be conducted. There has been a change in the exam pattern of UCEED 2020. There will be two parts: Part A and Part B and it is compulsory for the candidates to attempt both the parts. Part A will contains three sections-NAT, MSQ and MCQ. Part B contains a drawing question. UCEED Eligibility Criteria 2020

Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay mentions the eligibility criteria for UCEED 2020 which includes the parameters which the candidates must meet before they start filling the application form. UCEED eligibility criteria 2020 comprises minimum and maximum age of the candidate applying for UCEED, subjects which the candidates must have studied in 10+2.

Year of passing the qualifying exam - Candidates who will be appearing in UCEED exam, they should have either passed the class XII or any other relevant qualifying exam either in 2019 or 2020. Students from varied streams are eligible to apply for UCEED 2020.

Those candidates who appeared in the qualifying exam in 2018 or before are not eligible to apply for UCEED 2020.

Age Criteria - According to the UCEED eligibility criteria 2020, only those candidates who are born on or after October 1, 1995 are eligible to apply for UCEED 2020. This particular clause is applicable to those candidates who belong to the general category while those who are from SC, ST or PwD, they must be born on or after October 1, 1989.

Total Number of Attempts - Candidates who would be appearing for UCEED 2020, they have the option to appear in the exam two consecutive times. The score for UCEED 2020 will be valid for a year and candidates will be entitled to admission to the corresponding academic year.

Subjects in the qualifying exam

Candidates who wish to apply in all the three institutes, they must have chemistry, physics and mathematics as their subjects in the qualifying exam.

UCEED Application Form 2020

IIT Bombay released the application form of UCEED 2020 on October 9 at 5:00 PM and candidates could fill it till November 15 as the last date was extended. Candidates could also register for UCEED 2020 by paying late fees till November 20 as the authorities extended it from November 16. The ranks are awarded to the candidates on the basis of the marks scored by them in the entrance exam as well as on the basis of the category to which they belong.  There are four categories such as the Open category, PwD category and reserved category. 

Question: Will I lose my seat if I do not freeze it if I did not get an upgraded allotment in the next round?

Answer:

Your seat will remain afloat till the third round and it is after that it will be automatically frozen.  If any round is held after the third round then in such a case allotment will be done but there will be freezing of seats. 

Question: Till when can I withdraw a seat ?

Answer:

You can withdraw the seat till the last date of third round of seat acceptance. 

Question: What is the seat allotment process in the supplementary round?

Answer:

If the seats are left vacant after the third round of seat allotment, then in such a case candidates will be allotted depending on the category and the rank that they have secured. In the supplementary round, allotment will close at least one day before the day for reporting and registration to the institute.
