As everyone knows, every year the exact number of UCEED marks vary. There are certain factors on which the UCEED marks depend on such as the UCEED cutoff. The factors on which the UCEED qualifying marks depend are the total number of applicants, the number of candidates who appeared for UCEED 2026, the difficulty levels of the exam, seat availability and the previous year cutoff trends. However, by referring to the past trends and by understanding the UCEED exam pattern, candidates will be able to make an analysis as to how many marks are required to crack the UCEED exam.
Before moving forward to know the marks required, the aspirants are advised to check and know about the UCEED exam pattern. This has two parts, A & B, where the UCEED total marks are 300. The details of UCEED Part A and Part B are given below.

Candidates should know that there are two aspects to understand before appearing for the UCEED exam. They are the UCEED qualifying marks and the cutoff. UCEED qualifying marks are the minimum marks required for consideration to pass the exam which will be published by IIT Bombay after the declaration of UCEED results. Whereas the UCEED cutoff marks or ranks are required to obtain design admission into the IITs or other UCEED participating institutes. For clarity, candidates can note that the UCEED qualifying marks ensures that the student has cleared the exam, and the UCEED cutoff is used to decide that the candidate will get admission in their desired institute.

Pearl Academy - They have multiple admission cycles (Jan, April, June). Applications usually open by October 2025 for Jan cycle.

UCEED is a competitive exam for design aspirants, testing design aptitude, logical thinking, creativity, and visualisation skills. To improve your score out of 300, start by understanding the exam pattern—Part A (objective) and Part B (subjective). For Part A, practice reasoning, numerical aptitude, and environmental & social awareness questions. For Part B, focus on drawing, sketching, and presenting your ideas clearly. Solve past year UCEED papers and join online mock test series. Spend at least 2–3 hours daily practising creative problem-solving and sketching. Also, work on time management because the exam requires quick thinking.

For NID DAT 2026, your eligibility is established based on your born date as you are born on or after July 1st 2005. For UCEED 2026, your eligibility is dependent on your born date by category. You are eligible if you are OPEN/EWS/OBC-NCL category and born on or after October 1, 2001. If you are SC/ST/PwD category you must be born on or after October 1, 1996 in order to be eligible. Based on your born date of December 20th, 2006 for both NID DAT 2026 and UCEED 2026; you will be eligible.
