How to fill NID DAT Application Form 2020? - The registration process for NID DAT has been started, candidates seeking admissions in undergraduate design programmes can fill the application form till November 7, 2019. They, however, can submit the application fee with late fee till November 13, 2019. Candidates who wish to appear in NID DAT entrance exam must ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria before registering themselves. As per NID DAT eligibility criteria 2020, students who have passed or will appear for class 12 examination in any stream in the academic year 2019–20 can sit for the exam. Also, they should be born on or after July 1, 2000. Candidates, however, belonging to reserved categories get a relaxation of three years.

Steps to Fill NID DAT Application Form 2020

Step 1 - Sign up

Candidates have to click on ‘Sign up’ button and fill the details in NID DAT application form 2020.

They have to tick against the following:

  • Programme of study they wish to apply

  • Nationality

  • Category

  • Are you also applying as differently abled under the PwD? Y/N

Personal Details

  • Date of birth

  • Confirm date of birth

  • First name

  • Middle name ]

  • Last name

  • Gender

  • Email address

  • Re-enter email address

  • Alternate email address

  • Re-enter alternate email address

  • Mobile number

  • Alternate contact number

  • Are you relative or acquaintance working in NID? If so, please state their names

  • How did you come to know about NID DAT 2020 admission

  • Enter verification code

After filling all the details in NID DAT application form, tick against the ‘Declaration statement’ and then click on ‘Submit’ button .

After clicking on the button, a page will pop up asking to view the details that you have entered. If all the details filled by you are correct, click on ‘Confirm and signup,’ otherwise click on ‘Edit’, button.

Step - 2 Login

Candidates will have to click on ‘Login’ button and then enter the following details:

  • Email address

  • Date of birth

  • Verification code

After entering the details in NID DAT application form, click on ‘Submit’ button. A page will appear wherein you can see all the details filled by you. You should check those information and then click against the ‘Declaration statement.’ Next, if you can click on ‘Save and exit’ button or ‘Save and proceed to the upload document section,’ depending on your wish.

When you click on ‘Save and proceed to upload the document section,’ you have to fill some more details as to your preferred exam exam centres and your parents.

Step 3 - Fill Parents’ and Educational Details

In this part of NID DAT application form, candidates have to mention the following details:

  • Select your preferred exam centre from the drop down menu

  • Place of birth

  • District

  • State

  • Father’s name

  • Mother’s name

Present Address and Permanent Address

  • Address line 1

  • Address line 2

  • City

  • Pincode

  • Country

If your present address is same as permanent address, click against ‘Same as present address.’

Educational Details

  • Board

  • Stream

  • School name

  • Exam status

  • Year

  • Marking scheme

  • Grade/GPA

Next, candidates will have to click on either ‘Save and exit’ button or ‘Save and proceed to the upload document section,’ button as per their convenience.

Step 4 - Upload the Documents

Candidates will have to upload the scanned copy of their images and signatures as per the specified specifications. After uploading the documents candidates can click on ‘Save and exit’ button or ‘Save and go to payment,’ button.

Step 5 - Pay and Print

If candidates wish to make the payment in online mode,click against ‘Online’ section, declaration statement and then ‘Proceed to Payment.’ They can make the payment only through Axis Bank. If they wish to pay the fee through Demand Draft (DD) , click against ‘Demand draft’ section, mention the DD number, amount, DD date, bank name , click against the ‘Declaration statement’ and then click on ‘Submit application’ button. Candidates will have to pay the requisite fee, which is not same for different categories.

Hello there!


NID Design Aptitude Test is an exam through which aspirants are shortlisted for admission in UG and PG design courses offered at the prestigious NID campuses. Candidates need to clear two NID admission tests in order to be eligible for admission in Bachelor’s Graduate and Diploma Programme in Design (GDPD) and other courses offered at its campuses . Earlier, NID offered admission in its five campuses through NID entrance exam. However, from 2019 onwards two more NID campuses, that is, NID Bhopal and NID Jorhat also started offering admission in GDPD course on the basis of NID admission test.

National Institute of design has released NID DAT online application form on 1st October 2019.Last date to apply is 7 November 2019..And last date to apply with late fine is 13 November,2019..

My DOB is 2 May 1997 so I will be 23 years and 2 months old , but the eigibility criteria for bachelors in NID is 20+3=23 for SC students, am I eligible?

The Bachelor of Design program at NID is of 4 years and is led at the Ahmedabad grounds. The absolute number of seats for the B . Des program including the held seats are 100. The supernumerary seats in Bachelor of plan for abroad up-and-comers is 15.

Age Limit

The upper age limit for the up-and-comers under this course is 20 years at the very latest July 30, 2020. The saved class applicants can profit an age unwinding of 3 years in the given upper age limit.

For General Category, the applicants conceived at the very latest July 1, 2000 would be ineligible.

For Reserved Category (OBC-NCL, SC, ST and PH), the applicants conceived at the very latest July 1, 1995 would be ineligible.
